Earth worms

Earth worms, not to be confused with earthworms, are a form of megafauna that inhabit the depths of the Borld planet. Earth worms are poorly understood, but they are known to irradiate things, leading to the occasional deep-sea ominous glow when one comes near an ocean trench, as well as a variable but often elevated cancer risk for seafarers. Former worm burrows that have been brought to the surface by tectonic shifts can make excellent caverns for people.
