Slinkies (Bep: ???????) are a category of animals in the Bep domain encompassing various "stretchy" vertebrates, most of which could plausibly be categorized as mustelids, rodents, and feliforms. This effectively makes slinkies a commonly used polyphyletic group in Bep contexts.

In some uses of the category, slinkies may be defined specifically as a class of domesticated or otherwise "useful" animals. This narrower sense emphasizes traditional practices in many Bep regions involving the recruitment and use of beavers as assistance in woodworking and dambuilding, weasels as entwiners or hunting companions, certain mongoose species in signalling applications, etc.

The use of rats to artificially drive out certain disease-prone critters typically places these rats in the slinky category by utility, but the same rat species are not included outside of this application.
